Environmental needs of clients are met through the Mould and Asbestos Division. Owner Richard White is well aware of an increasing awareness and concern about Mould. Health experts agree that the type of Mould and the degree of exposure could have serious health effects for certain people.

R.C. White Ltd. is an active member of EACO (The Environmental Abatement Council of Ontario).

This keeps them at the forefront of their industry, with updates on new Regulations, procedures and contacts with Environmental Consultants across the country.

Mould can grow in large amounts as a result of conditions in buildings that go unchecked. Some times its visible, but often times not. Some times, people notice subtle changes to their health, such as lethargy, headaches etc. It could be related to mould or other issues, but that's when experts should be called in the assess the building. We have been involved with simple to complex solutions regarding mould in buildings Richard says. In some instances, it involves complete or partial demolition and subsequent refit of the structure to eliminate the problems.

Asbestos can be a health concern when disturbed. Many buildings still have various materials that contain asbestos. The government regulations now call for complete surveys for multi occupant buildings to ensure that any contractor or person doing work in them can be made aware of these Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). R.C. White Ltd. is Registered with the Ontario Government through the Certification process mandated. It means that all their staff is trained and carry licenses to perform the Abatement according to O. Reg. 278/05.
